Fall Make Up Tips

With the air getting cooler and cooler each day, and the leaves changing and disappearing, a wonderful transition of color happens all around us in nature.  This inspires us to reach for deeper shades of lipstick and earthy hues of eye shadow. Continue reading to learn my tips and tricks on how to easily transition your makeup look from the bright colors of summer, to the warmer shades of fall.

LIP

One of my favorite fall lip colors is the RMS Beauty Illusive Lip2Cheek. Described as a burnt rose with a hint of plum this shade reflects the depth of the season and the shift in fashion. Apply with a lip brush for a full coverage pout or tap a small amount on your bottom lip with your ring finer and press your lips together gently for a bitten look. One of the best things about this product is it can also be used as a blush. Bring the beautiful rosiness to your cheeks by gently tapping product along your cheek bone. Pro Tip: Mix a small amount of Illusive on the back of your hand with your favorite janegee Face Oil to create a sheer flush of color and add extra hydration.

For a touch more drama, my lipstick pick would be ZuZu Luxe shade Femme Fatal – a deep red wine hue.

 FACE

Keep your complexion fresh and glowing against New England winters by adding a janegee treatment oil to your routine. Your favorite foundation can transition with you, with the full complement of nutrients in the skin underneath. janegee offers a range of different face oils depending on your personal skincare needs.

If you’re still on the hunt for your perfect foundation, let me introduce you to RMS Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation: Made with good-for-your-skin ingredients this foundation melts into the skin providing great coverage without feeling heavy. What you’ll find is your complexion is smooth, even, and looks like your skin.

EYES

Some of my favorite ways to play up the eyes this fall is by choosing rich-pigmented eye shadows such as Kjaer Weis Eye Shadows in shades Green Depth, Blue Wonder, and Transcend. Simply swipe along the lid for a pop of color, or blend into a soft smokey eye. Made with a special formula that uses bamboo instead of synthetic silicones, these shadows have a silky texture and blend beautifully. If you’re looking for a playful way to update your eye liner game, use a Kjaer Weis Cream Shadow and an angled brush to create a colorful wing!

BRONZER/ HIGHLIGHTER

With inevitable grey days ahead, we want our skin to reflect warmth and radiance more than ever. You can achieve both with the Lily Lolo Sculpt and Glow palette. Hand picked by yours truly for janegee, this palette offers a cool-toned bronzer to effortlessly contour the face, and a luminous highlighter to reflect light and create a fresh glow. I highly recommend using the Lily Lolo Contour Brush with this palette; it is designed perfectly to fit the hallow of your cheekbone, angle of the jaw, and glides over the perimeter of the forehead. I also use this brush to then sweep the highlight across the top of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, and over the cupids bow.
